Errata Explained: Dragon Ein & Legend World Loop Decks

July 24, 2017

Dear Buddyfighters,

It has come to our attention that “Dragon Ein” and “Legend World” decks are able to utilizes loops in the game.

These decks work by casting multiple copies of “Gambit” and “Force Return“, allowing them to make the same move infinitely.

At its best, these decks can win the game on the first turn as the fighter going first.
As such, in order to maintain the balance of the game, we have come to a decision.

The following three cards are the core cards that make loop decks possible, which will have new text added to them:

BT01/0050 The Skies in your Hand

Before Amendment
■ [Cast Cost] Pay 1 gauge.
■ [Counter] Return all monsters on your field to your hand.

After Amendment
■ [Cast Cost] Pay 1 gauge.
■ [Counter] Return all monsters on your field to your hand. You may only cast “The Skies in your Hand” once per turn.

BT02/0078 Force Return

Before Amendment
■ Return all of your monsters from the field to your hand, and gain 1 life.

After Amendment
■ Return all of your monsters from the field to your hand, and gain 1 life. You may only cast “Force Return” once per turn.

BT02/0103 Gambit

Before Amendment
■ Return all of your monsters from the field to your hand.

After Amendment
■ Return all of your monsters from the field to your hand. You may only cast “Gambit” once per turn.

—————

As these cards were released in the very initial stages of the game, they are not as ideal in the current game balance.

As these cards will have huge influences on the game ahead, we have decided the best course of action is to amend the text on these cards in order to strive for better balance in the game.

The changes of these cards will take effect from July 29th, 2017 onwards.

We would like to take this opportunity to sincerely apologize for the inconveniences brought about by this change, and also to thank all our Buddyfighters out there who are giving us their support of the game.

The development team will strive to be more vigilant in our efforts so as to minimize the chances of such issues in the future.

Thank you for supporting Buddyfight!

Regards,
Future Card Buddyfight Team
